David K. Spencer
David founded Spencer Legal in 2012, after over 20 years working in law and business. He started his legal career in the tax department of Sullivan & Cromwell and has since worked at Bank of America, HSBC and BNP Paribas as a front office banker at various desks including structured products, equity derivatives and tax equity placement. David received his J.D. (magna cum laude, Order of the Coif) and LL.M. (Tax Policy Fellowship recipient) from New York University School of Law in 1999 and 2000, respectively.

Darlene Campbell
Darlene joined Spencer Legal as a Trust & Estates attorney in 2020. Darlene helps individuals create stability for their loved ones with carefully considered estate planning. Her questions bring clients’ priorities into focus, and once identified, she offers them the best legal tools for reaching their goals. From initial conversation to document signing, Darlene makes the planning process manageable. She also uses her own experience as a business owner, and as a corporate attorney at Debevoise & Plimpton and Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer, to assist clients with a variety of transactions, including financings and acquisitions. Darlene received her J.D. (magna cum laude, Order of the Coif) from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2000.

Lindsay Doering
Lindsay joined Spencer Legal as a reinsurance attorney in 2021. He has over 20 years of diverse experience in the reinsurance sector. He began as a treaty drafter at Aon Re while attending evening law school. He has since worked at Chubb, Munich Re – America and IOA Re. As an associate at the law firm Kittredge, Donley, Elson, Fullem and Embick he handled litigation and arbitration of reinsurance matters. He has published articles in trade journals and been invited to speak at conferences. He recently served on the Industry Advisory Panel of the Insurance and Reinsurance Underwriters Association. He received his J.D. (Dean’s Honors list) from Widener University School of Law in 1999.

Mark Davis
Mark joined Spencer Legal in 2022 as a corporate and transactional attorney. He has over 15 years of U.S. domestic and international legal experience in a variety of debt and equity finance, and other commercial, transactions. He spent the first ten years of his career as a project finance attorney at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe and at Thelen, Marrin, Johnson & Bridges, both in San Francisco. He then practiced several years as senior corporate counsel at two publicly traded energy companies. Mark received his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1991.

Eileen Suh
Eileen joined Spencer Legal as a Corporate Attorney in 2020. She works with clients on corporate law matters, including equity capital, leverage, mergers & acquisitions, corporate minutes and decision making, and contractual negotiation and drafting. Previously, Eileen was a corporate attorney at Debevoise & Plimpton in the corporate law department. Eileen received her J.D. from the William and Mary School of Law in 2001.
